Sun Herald

The Sun Herald will present a visual exhibit depicting three phases of Hurricane Katrina’s impact on South Mississippi: destruction, survival and recovery. In addition we will tell the story of how the newspaper continued to provide news and information to readers without interruption, despite personal losses suffered by many staffers. That coverage led to the Sun Herald to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. There will also be a special presentation of before and after Katrina images showing what those landmarks look like now, 10 years after.
